Laugar Brewery history

Laugar was born in 2010 when they started brewing as a hobby, thirsty of changes in the local beer scene which is monopolised by the industrial beer.

At first they brewed for themselves, soon enough their beers opened their way out. As a result of this they decided to move to Gordexola (Bizkaia) and started producing in a professional manner in 2014, with a very clear philosophy based on quality before quantity with a product brewed with passion and honesty. Always aiming to offer the best quality beers with character and in constant evolution.

Our beers range from classic styles to edgy styles or more experimental alike, envision craft beer as a world where imagination has no limits.

Annual events at Laugar

Every year, the brewery is open to the public with two special events where craft beer is honorated in our way.
The first saturday of june, we celebrate our anniversary with the Rock&Beer Festival. During the whole day you can enjoy more than 20 laugarian references on tap, including the special beer Anniversary brewed for the event, food truck and some other funny activities.
On winter, it is time to celebrate the Tovarisch Day, a tribute to the russian imperial stout style with one of our most recognized beers: Aupa Tovarisch. During this event all the taps turn to black with our russian imperial stout beers. We don't forget to attend the festival with good food and live music, of course.

You can follow all the Laugar activity through social media: facebook and instagram.

Day-to-day inside-outside the brewery

We attend many different festivals both nationally and internationally along the whole year. That's what we call: #LaugarOnTour.
In Gordexola, the brewery is always on fire. The taproom is open on fridays and saturdays with 6 laugarian beers on tap, some special food, or even bottles and merchandising at the shop. On the last saturday of each month we organize guided tours and tastings for groups.
For larger occasions the brewery space can be exclusively hired, contact us directly.
